Charlottesville Area Harm Reduction has served our community for more than seven years, providing safer use supplies to locals and visitors alike. We began with a few people committed to helping others in Charlottesville who faced discrimination and stigma because of their drug use. Now we’ve grown to an organization with over twenty members who staff our distribution table, manage supply inventory, offer trainings on use-related topics and overdose prevention, provide delivery services, raise funds, and connect clients to services. We accept people as they are, provide assistance without judgement, and work with our clients and our community to support better health and a better life for everyone.
We honor the memories of those who we have lost to overdose and other causes, and we continue this work in deep respect.
